On August 6, 2003 Nitrofert JSC declared availability of Force-Majeure circumstances, the reason for which was partial flooding of the technological equipment caused by the excessive rainfall due to heavy thunder- and rainstorms during the period of August 5 to 6, 2003. Heavy rains followed on August 7 and August 8 worsened the situation.
According to assessment by AS Nitrofert's experts, it will take at least 2 weeks to eliminate the consequences and to restart the production.
