ON environment and quality management politics
The Quality Management System, certified in June 2006, and the Environmental Management System
submitted in December 2007 for accreditation aim at making production economically and
environmentally efficient.
The essential thing in AS Nitrofert’s strategy is not to allow
the output to result in negative effect on nature.
In our day-to-day work
AS Nitrofert tries reduce the effect of ecological aspects, i.e. influence
of various elements and aspects of the company’s production activity on the environment.
AS Nitrofert is open for diligent cooperation with all companies and entities that
are interested in the environment protection.
The Environmental Management System
is closely associated with the Quality Management System and these two are the
component parts of AS Nitrofert’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
AS Nitrofert adheres to the following main principles:
-
In the company’s activity to follow effective Estonian legal acts and the company’s IMS documents;
-

In the company’s long-term plans, to envisage performance of works reducing the influence
of ecological aspects on the environment (among the works planned is engineering for a gas
condensate treatment unit). To make economical use of natural resources (natural gas,
artesian and lake water), of electric and heat power, to search into the possibility for
the recycling of the production wastes;
-
To continuously upgrade the IMS procedures;
-
On the analysis of IMS functioning by the company’s administration, to revise the
management politics minimum once a year;
-
To institute the control over the management politics workability through the agency of
certified internal auditors (in compliance with the plan) and external auditors (by agreement);
-

of ecological aspects evaluation (in their department and through the agency of the engineering
staff of the Production &Technical Department or via the company’s internal information site Intranet).
